Probably one of the reason why most tourist, including myself, wanted to visit Penang is to see George Town street art. Why? The street is cute and so instagramable.

In 2012, Penang Muncipal council commissioned Ernest Zacharevic to paint a series of public murals for the George Town Festival. Since then, George Town gained its status as a street art hub. The artist combines objects such as bicycle, motorcycle and swings making the murals interactive. The artwork is so famous, you literally have to queue in line to get a selfie.

Waiting in line for my bowl of Susu Soya, whatever that is ???

Walking around George Town and searching for the murals could be satisfying and the best way to learn about the city. Penang’s weather could be very hot however, so wear comfortable clothing and bring refreshment or you may want to stop once in a while to check cafe’s and restaurant, some of them is as cute and interesting as the murals around town.

About to explore and experience Penang's charming Georgetown ?
