My recent trip to Phuket is one of those trips that doesn’t give me inspiration to blog about. I mean, what can you write about a trip when you did nothing but go to the beach, get drunk and then go out at night and get drunk right? #sunogbaga Lol. That is my itinerary, it’s not really good for your health. On the bright side, I get to meet a lot of friends (wink..wink..)

Patong Beach

But, even though I am drunk, i did manage to take pictures that might inspire you to visit Phuket. A lot of blogger and people question whether Phuket is worth visiting or not because of mass tourism and all that shit. I would say of course it is, there are beaches, booze, bitches and boobs and blow oh, I’m not sure about the last one. Haha..

There is so much more about Phuket than those B’s. You just have to probably hire a motorbike, a tuk-tuk and explore somewhere, where most tourist don’t go. I heard there are secluded beaches which is a motorbike ride away from the main beach, Patong. And hey, you are still in Thailand let us not forget about the food.

I arrived in Phuket late at night via Cebu Pacific, they have direct flight from Manila. From Phuket International Airport you may take public bus, minibus and taxi to your hotel. I stayed at Avantika Boutique Hotel located at northern end of Patong Beach. Since I arrived late, i take a taxi. Along the way, the driver stops at an office which I found out to be a travel agency. The driver told me that he is just going to use the toilet but as soon as he get off the car, a lady travel agent hop inside and tried to sell me tour package. Haha.. Super lame by the way (Thumbs down).

I was so happy when I arrived at my hotel, it was so nice and big. I stayed in one of the Deluxe Garden View Room, which has a huge bed, huge bathroom with bathtub and Tatami corner area. Look at these.., I don’t want to leave.

PATONG BEACH

This is probably the most famous beach in Phuket, the whole 3.5 kilometers of it is filled with tourist. You either love it or hate it. The vibe here is like Pattaya Beach, also in Thailand. There are various water sports activities you can try, but you know, I am one of those traveler who would rather enjoy Mojito in my hand than do those water sports thingy.

 BANGLA ROAD (SOI BANGLA)

This is where the party and all that shit that comes with it happens 🙂 I love it here. It is only a few walk away from Patong beach. (Mga limang tumbling lang ba) I see tiger statues and a lady that moves like a tigress, I see ladyboys wearing something like from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show. You can take a selfie with them for 100 Baht.

PHI PHI ISLAND, MAYA BAY, MONKEY ISLAND AND KHAI ISLAND TOUR BY SPEEDBOAT

At one point in this trip, I feel like I wanted to get the alcohol out of my system, so I joined an Island hopping tour and Oh My Dayum!!! Hangover and Bumpy Speed Boat ride, not the best feeling in the world. I think three girls in our group vomited. Anyway, do not expect too much for this tour. Do not expect something like those paradise you see in the movie “The Beach”. Maya Bay, where they shoot the film is like this..

..I swear, those who can take pictures without these crowd is either a very good photographer or hired those expensive tour package in a private yacht that goes into the island late in the afternoon when tourist leaves and then leave the following morning when the tourist is about to arrived.

The tour includes buffet lunch, guides and snorkeling gear which cost me 1,500 baht.

THE CRIB PATONG

For this trip, I also stayed at The Crib Patong which I think is a really nice boutique hotel, it’s not expensive, it’s clean and kind of modern. According to their website, the hotel is decorated under the touches of graphic design, inspired from unique southern Thailand fabric pattern. The hotel is located in the center of Patong and is walking distance to Jungceylon Department Store and Patong Beach. They also have a really nice rooftop swimming pool.
